Southend Drama takes top award at Eastwood
Southend Drama Society won the 1st round of the Southend Drama Festival held in Eastwood.
Charlie Mellor directed their comedy entry "The Worst Day of my Life" which all scooped three other awards.
The group also won for Best Stage Presentation, Best Female Performer and Best Director.
They will now go on to the next round - the Eastern Area Final to be held on Saturday 15th May in the Chequer Mead Theatre in East Grinstead.
The group also reached the Eastern Area Final last year with their performance of "The Last Bread Pudding".
