There are a range of exciting exhibitions and events staged throughout the year - details on our exhibition page whilst throughout the year the Thorpe Smith Collection of paintings and prints from as early as 1803 will be on show. A unique opportunity to see what Southend and the local area was like before photography.

Driving along the A13 (London Road), turn towards the sea at 'The Cricketers' pub. Over the railway bridge, round the next block of houses on a 1-way system and you're there. Parking is mainly on-street (free) but there is also a large pay and display car park in Shorefields Road.
By Rail The nearest station is Westcliff-on-Sea, on the Fenchurch Street line from London. The gallery is quarter a mile to the east. If you're arriving on the Liverpool Street line, the Gallery is about a half mile walk.
