Southend Choirs

Southend Boys' and Girls' Choirs always welcome new members, and the start of the term is an ideal time to join.

Both choirs are accepting new members aged 8 upwards. There is no membership or joining fees provided you are accepted, and members will have the chance to sing with the choirs in the Royal Albert Hall and other major venues during the year.

The choirs have concert tours every year, and this year they performed in Rome, singing at St Peterís Basilica and The Pantheon.  Next year the choirs will perform in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec.  The choirs offer wonderful opportunities to keen young singers from Southend and beyond.

The choirs pride themselves with a wide age range of singers, with singers entering the choirs at 8 and stay until university and beyond. Many of our singers have continued their careers as professional singers.

Boys whose voices are changing are invited to join our senior choir Ė Southend Young Menís Chorus. This newly formed group offers older boys the opportunity to explore new registers in tenor and bass range. The group works alongside the main upper voices choirs, so offering the unique opportunities for the choirs to perform in full 4-part harmony.
