Great news Southend Theatres are scheduled to re-open with shows.
The Cliffs Pavilion will cease operating as a vaccination centre and re-open for live shows from July 31st. Jimmy Carr will be the first show to take place.
The Palace Theatre will re-open in September, This is great news for local theatre goers and of course for local theatre groups, who are now selling shows for the planned autumn season.
Already the schedule is filling up with:
Chameleon Productions - Nasty Neighbours - 14th to 16th October (Dixon Studio)
LODS - Little Shop of Horrors = 27th to 30th October (Palace Theatre)_
Plays for Laughs - The Agatha Crusty Murders and The Village Hall Murders - 26th to 30th October (Dixon Studio)
Little Theatre Company - The Addams Family - 3rd to 6th November (Palace Theatre)
SODS - Scrooge! - 24th to 27th November (Palace Theatre)
Lindisfarne Productions - Don't Dress for Dinner - 23rd to 27th November (Dixon Studio)
Players Theatre Company Elf - 8th to 11th December (Palace Theatre)
Southend Drama Society - A Christmas Carol 7th to 11th December (Dixon Studio)
and other groups are set to announce shows in the coming weeks.
A chance to get out and enjoy live theatre in the town again and at a modest price.
